Booking Questions
Are you by appointment only?
Our salon is primarily appointment-only to ensure each guest receives dedicated time and care. We do our best to accommodate walk-ins and same-day appointments. Nail services are highly recommended to be booked in advance to guarantee technician availability and proper timing.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Card, 3.5 Convenience fee applied when using card, American Express accepted. No checks.
Does my deposit go towards my appointment?
Yes, it will be applied towards your total amount at the end of your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable. However, deposits can be transferred up to 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Do you accept kids or guests?
We only allow children in the salon when they(the child) are being serviced. We ask, please, no guests unless they are also being serviced.
Nails
Do you offer regular polish?
No, we only offer a regular clear coat top in a bare manicure.
How do I schedule acrylic, gel-x, structured manicures?
On our GlossGenius booking site, you will find these services under the level of nail art you would like. Descriptions of nail art are listed under each level. If you are ever questioning the level of art, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we can assist you in deciding the level based on design preference.
How do I know what “level” of nail art to book?

What’s the difference between Gel-X, acrylic, and structured manicures?
Gel-X uses soft gel extensions that are pre-shaped and applied for a lightweight, natural feel. Acrylic uses a liquid and powder system to create strong, durable extensions.

Which facial should I book?
The best facial depends on your skin goals, current concerns, and comfort level. If you are unsure, our team can help guide you toward the right facial based on whether your skin needs hydration, brightening, calming care, or deeper treatment.
What facial is best for acne/aging/dark spots?
The best facial for acne, aging, or dark spots depends on your skin type and concern severity. Acne-focused facials may support clearer skin, while brightening and age-supportive facials can help improve tone, texture, hydration, and overall skin appearance.
How often should I get a facial?
Most clients benefit from a facial every 4 to 6 weeks. This schedule supports the skin’s natural renewal cycle and helps maintain smoother texture, better hydration, and long-term skin health when paired with proper home care.
Will it break me out after?
Some clients may experience light purging or temporary sensitivity after a facial, especially if congestion is present. This is usually short-term. Proper aftercare, hydration, and avoiding harsh products can help your skin settle after treatment.
Can I wear makeup after?
It is best to avoid makeup immediately after a facial so your skin can breathe and fully absorb the benefits of the treatment. If possible, wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup for the best results.
How long do results last?
Facial results can vary based on skin type, treatment choice, lifestyle, and home care. Many clients notice an immediate glow, while hydration and texture improvements may last longer with consistent facials and a good skincare routine.
Do you do extractions?
Extractions may be included depending on the facial and your skin’s needs. If extractions are appropriate, they are performed carefully to help clear clogged pores while minimizing irritation and supporting healthier-looking skin.
Is it safe if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, facials can be adjusted for sensitive skin. Gentle products and calming techniques may be used to help reduce irritation while still supporting hydration, balance, and a refreshed appearance.
What products do you use?
Product selection may depend on your facial, your skin type, and your concerns. During your appointment, the products used can be chosen to support your goals while keeping your skin’s comfort and condition in mind.
Do I need to stop using anything before my appointment?
It is best to avoid strong exfoliants, retinol, or harsh active products before your facial unless otherwise advised. This helps reduce sensitivity and allows your skin to respond better during treatment.
Waxing
How long does my hair need to be?
Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice (≈ ¼ inch). If it’s too short, the wax can’t grip properly; too long, and we may trim for comfort.
Does it hurt?
Waxing can be slightly uncomfortable, especially on your first time, but most clients say it’s quick and very manageable. With consistency, it becomes much easier over time.
How often should I wax and how long does it last?

Can I shave in between?
We don’t recommend shaving between waxes—it disrupts your growth cycle and can lead to more irritation and ingrown hairs. Staying consistent with waxing gives the best results.
What should I do before my wax?
Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before and arrive with clean, dry skin (no lotions or oils) – Wear loose, comfortable clothing
What should I avoid after?
For 24–48 hours, avoid:
- Hot baths, saunas, or workouts
- Tight clothing
- Sun exposure or tanning
- Heavy lotions or fragranced products
Will I break out or get ingrowns?
Some sensitivity or small bumps can happen, especially after your first visit. Proper aftercare and regular waxing significantly reduce ingrowns over time.
Is it okay if I’m on my period?
Yes, you can still receive a wax, just wear a tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind you may be more sensitive during this time.

How long does it last?
Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and how well you follow aftercare.
Is it better than lash extensions?
It depends on your desired look. Lash lifts enhance your natural lashes for a clean, low-maintenance result, while extensions add length and fullness for a more dramatic effect.
Will it damage my lashes?

Can I wear mascara after?
Yes, mascara can be worn after the initial 24-hour setting period. Many clients find they need less or no mascara due to the lifted effect.

Spray Tans
How long does a spray tan last?

Will it turn me orange?
No, when professionally applied and properly customized to your skin tone, your tan will develop into a natural, sun-kissed glow.
What should I do before my appointment?
Exfoliate your skin 24 hours prior and avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, or perfumes the day of your appointment. Arrive with clean, dry skin for best results.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear loose, dark clothing and avoid tight fabrics or bras immediately after your tan to prevent rubbing or transfer.
How long before I can shower?
This depends on the solution used, but typically you’ll rinse in 8–12 hours. Some rapid tans allow rinsing sooner (1–4 hours), which will be discussed during your appointment.
Will it stain my clothes or sheets?
You may notice some temporary transfer from the bronzer, but it washes out of most fabrics. Once you’ve rinsed, the tan will not transfer.
How dark should I go?
Your shade will be customized based on your skin tone, desired result, and event timing to ensure a natural, even finish.
Can I get one before an event? (timing question)
Yes! We recommend booking your spray tan 1–2 days before your event for the most natural, fully developed result.
How do I make it last longer?
